Twitter Ads launch enables brands and marketing agencies in Croatia to work closely with Httpool team and help them use Twitter ad products in order to amplify their organic activity.

The event gathered Twitter representatives, agencies and brands and provided a platform to discuss opportunities for engagement with existing customers and reaching new audiences on the platform.

Niall Horgan, Twitter’s Partner Manager EMEA presented Twitter’s extensive engagement opportunities for brands and moderated a panel with influential Twitter users and specialists in digital advertising and marketing. Thus, they discussed how brands exploit 140 characters to scale their audience, grow engagement and drive mass awareness among existing and potential customers in Croatia and globally.

What Twitter brings to agencies, brands and broadly to its users? “With more than 500 million Tweets a day and 284 million active users, people turn to Twitter to bring them closer to the things they care about, whether it’s the news that affects their lives or the businesses down the street. The world really has changed – mobile is the ‘new normal’ to consume content and Twitter is a mobile first platform. On Twitter, people talk about what they care about and what’s happening around them right now. This gives brands powerful context to express themselves and to connect their message to what’s most meaningful to their customers in real time,” explains Niall Horgan, Twitter Partner Manager EMEA, how brands can take an advantage of Twitter.

Twitter has partnered with Httpool in August to bring advertising opportunities to agencies and brands in Croatia and 11 other markets in the region. Through Httpool, agencies and brands in Croatia now have access to the same prices, services and support as directly with Twitter. Aleksander Mitrović, Managing Director Httpool Slovenia and Croatia explains “Brands in Croatia are already using Twitter to listen to their customers and we are excited to help them amplify their efforts by providing the full support and advertising opportunities. The panel clearly showed great potential of Twitter for brands. This event was just one of the types of support we will provide to brands and agencies moving forwards. With full support from Twitter we will continuously help brands to engage and scale on the platform, provide them trainings and organize meaningful discussions with the key industry players, like today.”

The panelists agreed Twitter is truly a real time platform. Media is already highly adopting Twitter, from newspapers and magazines to TV stations and cable news. Antonia Mandić, host/editor at RTL Hrvatska explained it’s easy to make a quick tweet telling the world what you are doing, how good the movie was and especially what`s going on in in the world. For example she exposed the BBC or CNN news on earthquake in Chile were 15 minutes late announcing the news she already heard from Twitter users. Ivan Kovačević, head of digital department at Agrokor exposed the pros of Twitter while watching the big events. He says, that Twitter not only gives you score updates, but also provides you funny comments along the event to make I more engaging. They all agreed that brands using Twitter should engage their users through their daily life activities and be native. As Nebojša Grbačić, communication adviser and content producer said, “make it personal, don`t try to sell all the time”. Finally, Ivan Brezak Brkan, co-founder of Netokracija advised that prompt response from brands is the most important!

“Twitter is the best solution when you need a quick help in 5 minutes, whether it’s a phone number of a local supplier or a sincere opinion. Using Twitter on a daily basis can really make your life simpler,” summed up Barbara Slade Jagodić, Agrokor.

Saša Stanković, Pro Media Publikum, said “Twitter provides a great potential from brands in Croatia. The most obvious benefit for brands is that it helps them connect with customers from both a support level and a personal level.”

Tina Jukić Tomljanović, HTZ, agreed “Twitter is a must for successful brands today. Since you are limited to 140 characters, you need to get to the point. You should still be polite, but you can be more direct than on the other platforms. A simple tweet takes less than a minute to write and send, but can still be very effective.”
